Welcome to the Canadian Mothers’ Union (MU) Website!

As part of a world-wide Christian society, we share Christ’s love as we encourage, strengthen and support marriage and family life. Our Canadian membership of approximately 800 is strong because we are united in prayer with more than 3.7 million MU members in 79 countries throughout the world. Many of us are Anglican, most of us are women, but membership in the Mothers’ Union is open to any baptized Christian.

Canadian MU branches meet monthly for myriad reasons including:

• prayer and fellowship
• marriage and family life Christian formation programs
• community action (soup kitchens/school lunch programs)

We uphold the values of marriage and family life through prayer and Christian witness, so ours is not a fundraising society per se. We do, however, financially and administratively support those who minister in the most remote areas of our country through the Northern Clergy Families Fund. We co-ordinate donations and distribute funds for families to use to meet their unique needs. We also support financially the Overseas and Outreach Fund administered from London, UK, to fund the many world wide initiatives of the Mothers' Union, such as the Literacy Project, the Family Life Project and the Parenting program.
